What Does Yahweh Say about Marriage,
Divorce and Remarriage?
Matthew 19: 4-6 4 And he
answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them
at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause
shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave (to glue to) to
his wife: and they twain (two) shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are
no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore yhwh hath joined together,
let not man put asunder (seperate).
Mal 2: 13-15 13And this have ye done again,
covering the altar of yhwh with tears, with weeping, and with crying
out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth
it with good will at your hand. 14Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because yhwh
hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom
thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife
of thy covenant. 15And did not he make one?...
Yahweh calls the vows or commitments made at the wedding a covenant.
It's one flesh before Yahweh. Not by sexual relations, by the church,
through the government license, or by the pastor or officiating officer
at the wedding but by an act of Yahweh.
When asked, " Wilt thou keep yourself to him/her, so long as you both shall live?, " did you say "Yes" or " I do"? If so, you are responsible before Yahweh. Yahushua said in Matthew chapter 5:
Mat 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
People, by today's standards are covenant-breakers or "truce-breakers." However if you question them carefully, they know the marriage bond is to be permanent, not whatever feels good.
Love is not based on emotion, but an act of the will to hold up a standard of marriage.
Yahweh commands us to "love their husbands/wives," "to love their neighbors" and "to love their enemies".
Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and
shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Paul the Apostle told us in 2 Timothy 3:1-7 1 This know also, that in the last days
perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own
selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers (they will make a commitment and casually turn away from it),
false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of
yhwh; 5 Having a form of reverence, but denying the power thereof: from
such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses,
and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers
lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the
truth.
Romans 1:31 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who
knowing the judgment of yhwh, that they which commit such things are
worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that
do them.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
The World Book Dictionary defines a vow as:
1) A solemn promise to Yahweh.
2) An act by which one consecrates or devotes himself to some act, service, or condition (state of being).
3) A promise of fidelity or constancy (as in a marriage vow).
Num 30:02 2 If a man vow a vow unto yhwh, or swear an oath to
bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do
according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.

will continue, very soon :-)
